Based on our reading of "The Crucible" thus far:
1) Identify a theme that you know has been established in the play. Remember that "theme" can be defined as follows:
"Theme is an underlying truth about life or human nature" It can also be the central idea or insight of a work of literature. A theme is NOT the same as the subject of a work, which can usually be expressed in a word or two: old age, ambition, love.
2) Support your choice by identifying events/scenes in the plot (storyline) that demonstrate this theme in action (being exhibited).
